Happy Birthday

I turned 31 on Monday the 30th and to celebrate, my family took me to dinner at the Bright Star in Bessemer. Many of you may not realize that the Bright Star is the oldest continually family owned restaurant in the state of Alabama. Jimmy, the owner and my father went to high school together and it was such a treat when Mr. Jimmy brought is 1957 Bessemer yearbook to show us pictures of my father! The Bright Star is celebrating 100 years of operation. If you haven't been, you really must go! The food is amazing, some of the best around! We had a wonderful time and there is a picture of Merrill in the post sucking my thumb... I had put some yummy cream cheese icing on my finger and she LOVED it! She was going to town! So thanks to my wonderful family for a delicious birthday... I love you!

Crab Dinner

We were invited to my Aunt Jean and Uncle Mack's for some delicious crab that Uncle Mack had shipped back from his recent trip to Alaska. Man was it yummy! We also decided that Merrill had to call Aunt Jean something cute... we came up with YaYa... so, thanks YaYa for a delicious dinner!!
